| Ok, time to start posting again I guess. And there are plenty of things going on to post about. First, we have just a week and a half left before the wedding. We are REALLY excited about next weekend. All of the planning has gone surprisingly smooth (knock on wood) and we are ready to go!
The other big news for us is that I got a job and we are moving! Some of you know this already, but I accepted a job with a company up in the bay area and we are moving to Foster City (near San Mateo) in the middle of July. We are really excited (and a little nervous) about our move next month....and of course we are excited about being neighbors with the Panoses (Pani?). I start the new job on July 16th, and Val is currently looking for a job up there as well. So make your plans now for the Stanford game on Labor Day weekend....it will be a party!
| FINISHED! Everything went very well on Friday and my whole committee signed off, so I'm officially done (with the exception of actually filing my dissertation). It's kind of strange being finished with school....after 9.5 years of college! But it sure feels good! | | |
| 3 days to go! | | |
| As of yesterday, I officially have a dissertation defense date: March 9. Only seven weeks away. Seven weeks that will go by VERY fast. But it's pretty exciting. I still have a few experiments to finish, but hopefully they'll be done soon then I'll just have to finish the writing. And the presentation, which, of course, is the most stressful part. Wish me luck! | | |
| Damn, I gotta start posting more often. We had a great, but short trip up to Bako for Christmas. Now it is crunch time at school. The next two weeks will be pretty big on determining when I can get out of here. So hopefully I'll have an update on that fairly soon.
On another note, we saw "We are Marshall" on Friday night. I know it didn't get very good reviews from the critics, but we both thought it was great. Very moving, as it is a true story, and from what I've read, there are very few details that are not historically accurate. I definitely recommend it.
